1. Hardware issue

If you have any problem with iPhone and it is related to hardware then according to Apple policies you must visit an Apple store or mail your iPhone directly to Apple for replacement or repair.  This means you may be passing some days without a phone your iPhone.

There are three main iPhone carriers which includes AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. Apart from these three, there are 13 local carries that support and sell iPhone. Although you can also purchase and activate your iPhone through Apple but you must designate a wireless carrier in your area which essentially means locking of phone to that carrier.

3. Use one app at a time

You can instantly switch from one app to another but you can actually run one app at a given time. Although some apps are capable to run in background like  play music player.

4. Battery power is limited

This limitation you may find in almost any smart phone. The battery backup provided by iPhone is limited but it also depends how you are using it including GPRS service, wi-fi connection, data connection etc.

5. Memory is limited

For better performance of iPhone, it is recommended to user smaller apps. The memory limitation may or may not be a decisive factor but it actually depends on type of application that you want to install.

6. File Sharing

As the Bluetooth technology is capable of sending files, images or other documents between most of the mobile gadgets, laptops and other devices but for Apple iPhone it has limited features.
You cannot share files, contact list between iPhone and computers using the default software. There are many third-party apps that let you to transfer files between the devices including Bluetooth-U, Shake2U.

7. Physical limitations of Bluetooth

The effectiveness of bluetooth connection depends on the distance between the paired devices. For iPhone, Bluetooth varies from model to model. Any class 1 bluetooth device specifies the effective range but you may find difficulty in pairing, sound quality and audio lag.
For instance, iPhone4 uses Bluetooth 2.1 while iPhone5 uses Bluetooth 4.0.

8. Users have fat fingers

The iPad has been evolved from the iPhone and iPod touch. You can easily deal with iPad’s larger display but if you are thinking to have a multiuser app that takes into account multiple users on iPhone then just keep this in mind.

9. Tethering with iPhone

Tethering is the process of using iPhone network connection with devices like laptop. It has become a part of iPhone since the release of iOS4 but not available in original iPhone. When you would try to run tethering with Bluetooth, your carrier may charge you extra amount to use your iPhone as tethering device.

10. Whats App Web

Messaging application Whats App is an extension to the service’s mobile apps. Whats App Web has launched without iOS support. So, Whats App web will not be available to your iPhone devices.

11. iPhone Gaming

iPhone has speedy processor and amazing graphics that makes it perfect for certain types of games for example you can easily play games like Scrabble, Tiny Wings or word games. But if you want to play multiple touch game like Mario Bros or GTA, playing them is nothing more than a frustration. There is just no easy way to replicate 14-button controller with D-pad or multiple joysticks on iPhone.

12. ActiveSync Limitations

Although iPhone uses built-in ActiveSync to synchronise emails, calendar, contacts with Microsoft Exchange. But it does not support syncing of tasks and cannot schedule ActiveSync.

13. Calendar cannot be synchronized with Google calendar

For calendaring , iPhone has several restrictions. Attendee status of meeting is not available.  You can’t snooze your meeting alerts, cannot reply or reply all to meeting invites. It does not provide any option to edit response or not send a response.

14. No customized ringtones

Apple iPhone does not provide any option of custom ringtones unless you pay to Apple for them. Customized ringtones gives us freedom to set anything as ringtone of own choice but its not available on iPhone for free.

15. Java is not supported

As java is not supported by iPhone which disables functionalities like multiple upload and download. iPhone does not support sound recorder also.

16. HTML elements are not supported

Apple iOS running on iPhone, iPad does not support HTML elements for upload files or HTML elements required for editor. It prevents you to view contents stored in or linked from Fronter.

17. NO MMS

iPhone does not allow you to send MMS to other devices.

18. No forwarding option for text messages

If you receive any text message and wish to forward it to your friends, business partner or relative then you won’t be able to do so. iPhone doesn’t provide option to forward text message.

19. Edge Network

The edge network is too slow that some times it acts as useless. While transferring data over edge, downloading a webpage you may not be able to receive any incoming call. All incoming call may directly go to the voicemail.
